She is licensed in Colorado as Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and is under the direct supervision of Heather Brooke, LPC.
Colleen's professional goal is to develop a positive therapeutic relationship with clients so they can realize their potential for a full life. Utilizing a humanistic, person-centered approach, her intention is to bring compassion, empathy and humor to each interaction; tailoring her skills to meet the needs of each client. She has experience working with clients with depression and anxiety, survivors of domestic violence, students at transitional points in their lives, family conflict, and considers herself an ally to the LGBTQ community. Colleen likes to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) techniques into her sessions as well as Somatic (body) awareness.
