Heather Brooke, LPC has been a preferred provider with Mines and Associates in Colorado since 2019. Through Mines and Associates, she has worked closely providing EAP benefits to First Responders in Colorado. Through her involvement with Mines and Associates, she has provided annual and bi-annual evaluations for police officers, provided crisis counseling to companies/schools/community, provided trainings on mental health issues, provided group counseling and EAP sessions. Through these EAP sessions, first responders were able to process through work related issues, personal issues and family issues.
Heather Brooke, LPC also worked closely with a former Colorado based organization, Building Warriors, which contracted with Colorado police departments and fire departments to provide individual counseling to the first responder and their families. Through this program, the first responder, their spouse and children could receive a set number of therapy sessions that could be used for individual therapy, couples therapy or family therapy. The purpose of these sessions were for first responders and their families to receive not only support around issues that might come up as a result of their career and trauma, but to also help support issues that might impact their functioning at work.
As a Mines & Associates preferred provider, Heather Brooke, LPC, currently provides annual and bi-annual mental health evaluations for members of the Larimer County Sheriff's Department.
If you would like more information on how we can provide annual or bi-annual evaluations for your police department, sheriff's department, fire department or emts, please send us a message on the contact me page and we would love to schedule an appointment to speak with you.
